Lynn M. Dearmyer is a dedicated public servant, community leader, and workforce development professional with more than 25 years of experience in public administration, human resources, business development, recruitment, and community engagement.
Lynn currently serves as a municipal employee for the Town of Cheektowaga. Before joining the Town of Cheektowaga, Lynn built a successful career in the staffing, recruiting, and workforce development industries. She held leadership positions with several Western New York staffing and consulting firms, including Kieffer, Martin Limited, and its sister company Globalquest Staffing Solutions. Throughout her career, she has recruited professionals across numerous industries, developed client relationships, managed teams, secured contracts, and helped organizations achieve strategic growth.
Lynn also possesses extensive experience in marketing, communications, and social media outreach. She served as Marketing and Social Media Outreach Aide for the Erie County Department of Senior Services, where she led digital engagement efforts, managed social media campaigns, redesigned the department’s website, and oversaw the production of its newsletter. She has continued to support numerous community and political organizations through her social media and communications expertise.
A lifelong advocate for civic engagement, Lynn has been actively involved in Democratic Party politics and community service for more than three decades. She currently serves as the first female Chairwoman of the Cheektowaga Democratic Committee and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Erie County Democratic Committee. She has also served as a Judicial Delegate, committee officer, and volunteer for numerous political and community organizations throughout Western New York.
Beyond her professional and political work, Lynn has dedicated countless hours to volunteer service. She has been involved with Planned Parenthood advocacy efforts for more than 30 years, served on various nonprofit committees, supported Hospice Buffalo fundraising initiatives, judged the Western New York Invention Convention, and, since 2021, has served as a licensed foster parent in Erie County.
Lynn’s leadership and community impact have been recognized through numerous honors, including being named one of Buffalo Business First’s Forty Under 40 recipients in 2012, receiving the Rising Star Award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western New York in 2011, and earning the William B. Hoyt Advocacy for Choice Award from Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York in 2008.
Lynn is a life-long resident of the Town of Cheektowaga, where she graduated from Maryvale High School and Villa Maria College, and now raises her two sons.
Known for her strong work ethic, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to serving others, Lynn continues to make a positive impact on her community through public service, advocacy, and civic engagement.
