Monica Elderkin is Council Member for Cheektowaga. Monica lives in Cheektowaga with her family-husband Eric and two teenage children, Jackson and Liam.

Monica graduated from Syracuse University and returned to her hometown of Cheektowaga. She was former PTA President of Cleveland Hill PTA for five years where she had the the privilege of working side-by-side with other parents, teachers, and neighbors who care deeply about this community. Monica works as an executive assistant and will use her project management skills, communication style, and client centered leadership on the Council. Monica ran for Town Council because she believes Cheektowaga deserves more than just a functioning town government—it deserves a thriving one.

Monica has been a member of Cheektowaga Democratic Committee since 2017, serving as former Zone Chair, Corresponding Secretary, and alternate judicial delegate.
